Over the last year, I have worked with Secret Hills Walking Holidays for singles and also rambling groups from other areas of the country. Walking has been a major part of my life. Wherever I live I have tried to walk to work to stay fit as we were always encouraged to do this as children - walks on Dartmoor, the coastline, getting lost in the country at weekends. This has stayed with me. The love of being outdoors with nature, exploring and finding new places and new views to admire. Exploring new areas and walks is an adventure and a challenge - which can be related to changes in life.
The motto “Just Do It” is one I have selected in order to improve my life. My daughter is now an adult and very independent so I don't need to keep an eye on her or feel responsible for her anymore, especially when she is at university! Walking and meeting people are two things that give me life and energy, as well as dancing but I can do that in the evenings and dark nights!
Along with reading, yoga and emotional freedom therapy, I have worked through some difficult times without drugs and I want to use my experience to help others to find similar peace and fulfilment. Health is also high on my list of life desires and walking is such a good way to maintain fitness and a healthy weight.
